Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day
“Ricky, Julian and Bubbles are about to get out of jail, and this time, Julian vows to go straight, even open a legit business. Soon the Boys will all be rich. At least that’s what they’ve told the parole board. But when they arrive back at the park, they find it’s not the same old Sunnyvale – and it’s not the same old Jim Lahey, Trailer Park Supervisor. Lahey’s a new man, hasn’t had a drink for two years. And he has plans – BIG PLANS – for Sunnyvale. But unfortunately for Lahey, Julian stands in his way. With his big plans for Sunnyvale going down the toilet, his relationship with Randy broken down, and having the Boys back in the park is all way too much pressure for him to bear. For Jim Lahey, the countdown to liquor day is on. Meanwhile, Julian’s having problems of his own and the Boys are forced to resort to doing what they know best – breaking the law. Lahey’s descent into the liquor coupled with the Boys descent into crime puts them all on a collision course to mayhem and destruction.”

Apparently live music and wine night. Patio weather permitting, otherwise may move it into lounge. Time TBA. Tentative 9 pm? Mano’s on 8 th street (just in case some one gets confused and risks life and limb venturing down 22nd)
So apparently Shaw and a nameless friend are starting a work out program back in first year university. The friend decides to start off benching a light weight, 140 lbs. Shaw having never benched before decides to test the weight and proceeds to pick up the bar and start arm curling the 140 lbs without effort. Shaw’s only comment, “yeah that’s kind of heavy” – as the 160 pounder arm curls near his own weight!
Disclaimer – Jason Shaw was working at the Home Depot brick yard at the time, where his work ethic and strength was already legendary.
Thinking about hitting it up at 7 pm? Will do patio if it’s still nice out. See you then.
Went to Original Joe’s wednesday, was rib night. Patio okay but busy. Thinking about this Monday for wing night at OJ’s. Any other suggestions for wing nights? Who has wing night on wednesday in Saskatoon? Didn’t wednesday wing night used to be the standard?
Despite a drop in violent crime, Saskatchewan still leads all Canadian provinces in “Police-reported Crime Severity Index” according to Statistics Canada Tuesday, July 21, 2009. http://www.statcan.gc.ca/daily-quotidien/090721/t090721a2-eng.htm significantly higher than BC, Alberta or scary Manitoba (which saw a bigger drop in violent crime) and over double that of Ontario.
We see Regina and Saskatoon again leading in Violent crime, though Regina is back to #1 and Saskatoon falls from #1 to #2 in Canada in violent crime. Still, Saskatoon has more violent crime than: Winnipeg, Abbotsford, Thunder Bay, double Hamilton! and nearly triple Toronto! http://www.statcan.gc.ca/daily-quotidien/090721/t090721a3-eng.htm
Sure everyone here will break out the “per capita” apologist line and talk about how scary Toronto is, but by the Saskatoon Police Forces own data, Saskatoon is 2nd in Canada to only Regina in Violent crime (dropping to #3 in total crime behind Abbotsford once property and minor crimes are considered).
Violent Crime
#1 Regina #2 Saskatoon #3 Winnipeg #4 Edmonton #5 Vancouver
Total Crime
#1 Regina #2 Abbotsford #3 Saskatoon #4 Kelowna #5 Winnipeg
A government sponsored concept study is suggesting Regina build a domed stadium, and that in the long run, a facility useable for 12 months of the year is actually the financially feasible option. Will Regina build the dome? Will Pat Fiasco put a practice bubble over Taylor Field’s turf in the winter, which would preclude concerts and actual events? Will the new Dome be downtown? Dewdney? Old site? East End? A full study is pending.

So guy’s night, Sunday, July 12, thinking about 8 pm. Original Joe’s on 8 th street in Stoon. If it’s still open, the deck is nice. Otherwise, will be inside. Will keep this updated if plans change.
